Un accord de cessez-le-feu entre Israël et le Hamas est entré en vigueur mercredi soir dès 20h00 (heure suisse). Obtenu après plusieurs jours d'efforts diplomatiques, il met un terme à une semaine de confrontations qui ont coûté la vie à 155 Palestiniens et à cinq Israéliens.A peine la trêve avait débuté que des célébrations ont éclaté dans la bande de Gaza meurtrie par huit jours de frappes aériennes israéliennes incessantes. Des tirs de joie, des pétards et des chants de "Allah akbar (Dieu est grand), la résistance a triomphé" ont retenti à travers les rues de l'enclave palestinienne. /SERVICE
